Liverpool defender NAT Phillips is interested in two Premier League clubs and could leave before the end of the January transfer window, according to PA news agency. The club have rejected Newcastle’s request to take the 23-year-old centre-back on loan, having turned down a 7 million pound bid from Watford.West Ham have also been linked with a move for the defender for some time.Phillips has made just three appearances this season, including a Champions League start against AC Milan at the SAN Siro, due to the fitness of Virgil van Dijk, Matip and Gomes, as well as the arrival of Christian Connat in the summer. However, he played an integral role in the club’s battle for third place in the final round last season, when injuries left Liverpool without three senior central defenders. The club will not sell Phillips on the cheap, but, with the players in front of him and their expressions of interest, PA news agency says it is increasingly likely that he will move before Monday’s deadline.
